There is a reason why FM succeded where Fifa Manager failed. We have to give them credit for a great foudnation. The first FM I think also had potential but was not even close to nowadays.

Overall I am very disappointed with this game.įirst of all it is a whole new series so don't expect it to be completely to you're wishes straight away and 2nd of all then go back playing some 25 year old game and just keep it shut you are clearly the one that has a "missed opportunity" cause if you were comparing you mentioned F1 manager 2000 aswell but you don't so have fun playing ya 25 year old games (but i am ure they don't work on ya current windows). The blue flag situation is extremely annoying, and also the weather system seems to barely make a difference to the tyres you have on. In this game, the race pace is really inconsistent to the point where strategy tweaks make barely any difference, the whole system of part design and upgrades is also very clunky. Overall the gameplay and racing are inferior to what I feel is the bench mark (GPW, still 15 years later), aside from a few obvious bugs in GPW. I feel like this game has been a missed opportunity. Putting the Bar too high wouldnt help in any way. Try more enjoying what u have and then maybe we get bit more later on with little steps. So maybe some players should put down their expectations a bit and try to have more fun with what u get (bugs excluded for sure )). Less sells and more less interesting in such games from developers and players too(cause u dont get new players into this genre). I like it to be harder too, and i like more depth too, but when both coming too much into such game, the less Players are interested in the Game and whats the consequence? Thats some important point people should think about. The more Depth these games get the less players beside the Hardcoregamers will be interested in these games anyway. Here and there little bit more Depth would be good anyway, but its not that i need it so hard :) I dont want and need the "Full" in-depth in every Part of the Game. I like MM too for what they do and HOW they do. They had their Problems too! They had BUGS too! Sure, less at they came out, but no patches at all as this games came out.

The good ones for me was GPM2 and F1 Pro and the Old "Pole Position" from Ascon(Ascaron) as well.īut ALL of this games had a big Problem for me: You just needed 3-4 Seasons to be the BEST and after then you can close the game or restart cause without really big mistaktes no one can get you.Īll of that games were different in what they did and HOW they did. Never liked it and didnt felt a good Manager game. More and more people prefer the more casual way and also there were much more f1 fans in the 90s than today. Also nowadays a company just would not sell enough copies if they made a hardcore simulation. It's a perfect mix between casual and not too casual. But I'm 30 now so I have not the time for all the little details where I played a season in a month. So lots of experience.īack in the days I played F1 Manager Pro a lot. Just give them a little time.ītw GPW was Edward Grabowski's 3rd game.

Patching/balancing manager games is much more time consuming than patch an ego shooter.Īlso the newer pole position games hasn't been solid after their 3rd game. They also need to test this out good enough to release the patches. Have to give them a little time to patch those bugs. No one likes bugs but manager games are really complex to make.
